The tech inside the booth

Salt and light. One booth.

Most red light beds give you light. Most salt rooms give you salt air. HaloRed gives you both at once: LED panels surround you with four wavelengths of red and near-infrared light while a halogenerator fills the booth with fine, dry salt. It’s an uncommon pairing, and it’s right here in Montgomery.

Deep red · 660 nm

A richer, deeper red. 660 nm is one of the most widely used wavelengths in photobiomodulation, the scientific name for light therapy. Researchers have studied it in everything from skin to recovery.

Minute by minute

Your twenty minutes

  1. 0:00

    Panels on.

LED panels light up around you at four wavelengths, all at once: two visible reds (630 and 660 nm) and two invisible near-infrared (830 and 850 nm). You see the red. You feel the near-infrared as gentle warmth.

  2. 0:01

    Why skin, not clothes.

Light can't pass through fabric, so sessions are done undressed, in private. Sit or stand, whichever you like.

  3. 0:05

    Salt in the air.

The halogenerator grinds pure salt into a fine, dry aerosol and fills the booth with it while the panels run. Two technologies, working at the same time.

  4. 0:15

    Fifteen minutes in.

By now you've had fifteen minutes of near-infrared, the longest wavelengths in the booth, the ones that reach past the skin's surface. Guests say they walk out warm and recharged.

  5. 0:20

    Session complete.

Twenty minutes, four wavelengths, one booth. Dress and get back to your day. It fits a lunch break.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

What do I wear?

Nothing. Red and near-infrared light don't pass through clothing, so you'll undress for your session. It feels warm, and you can sit or stand.

What does HaloRed do?

It's three therapies at once: red light, near-infrared light and dry salt therapy (halotherapy), all in one 20-minute session.

Can I combine HaloRed with the salt cave?

Yes, and many guests do. Add HaloRed to a Salt Cave or Private Room membership for $99 a month. See Memberships for details.

Dry salt therapy (halotherapy) has been studied around the world, but the FDA has not evaluated its use or benefits. Nothing on this site is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Please check with your physician before your first session, especially if you are pregnant or have a health condition, including hyperthyroidism, cancer, tuberculosis or claustrophobia.
